The best compliment a woman can get

It sure feels good when someone gives you a compliment whether it be on something you did, something you said or the way you look.  It elevates you 10,000 feet above the ground.  You feel good about yourself, about the world around you, you feel lighter than air and you want to reach out and kiss the person that paid you that compliment.
But the best compliment a woman can get is from her child.  Every now and then my little boy tells me, 'mom, you are beautiful', as he holds my hair.  Does he melt my heart?  Oh, he melts me and my heart.
Would you like to share a special compliment you have received that was so meaningful to you that you still remember it?  Leave me a comment.

Here are some pictures of him and me when he was very little.

Here he is less than 2 months old here.
See, he had a 'thing' for my hair even back then.  He always likes to hold my hair.
And here he is now, almost 5.

Kaleidoscope

David installed this action snap camera application on my phone and I've been playing with it.  I am not much of a photographer, that's David's job.  But LOVE taking pictures of my kids.
This is the 9 shot action snap.  All the lines, it looks like a quilt to me.  And two little happy faces hiding behind all the red lines.

This afternoon the sun in the park was so perfect that it was projecting our shadows high and far and we looked like aliens.  An alien momma, and her two alien babies, and then two cute little faces at the end, not from an alien, but a little human boy and girl.

The sun was also making this warm glow inside the sliding tubes, and although I had to keep asking my kids to keep on going up and down to get a good action photo of them, it was worth at the end.  Here's Maggie coming out of the tube.

Felted Christmas Trees

I've been making this cute little Christmas trees out of really cool felt I bought at Joann's on sale.  I love deals because I am very thrifty.  I've been wearing one every day, the very first one I made.  And I got so many complements on it, even the TSA guy at the Seattle airport said he liked my little Christmas tree. When I told him I made it myself, he said he liked it even more.

So I thought they'd be a hit at my sale.  Well the sale wasn't really a hit, but the only items I sold were exactly these little Christmas trees.  I guess you could say they were a hit.
